5.6.4 revolves around one simple conviction: the conversations with your customers are yours — they don’t get lost, they don’t go out at 3 a.m., and now you can start them too.
🗂️ Disconnecting a channel no longer deletes anything
Until now, disconnecting a channel (Instagram, Messenger, Email, Web Chat or WhatsApp Cloud) also wiped its conversations — the entire history of those customers vanished. That’s over: disconnecting now only cuts the channel; the full history is preserved.
And there’s more: if you reconnect the same account (same email, same number, same Instagram), the platform recognizes it and picks up exactly where it left off — same conversations, same customers, nothing lost. The automated flows are aware of the change too: a disconnected channel receives no follow-ups or reminders until it’s back.
📵 If WhatsApp goes down, you know instantly
A WhatsApp session can disconnect for reasons that have nothing to do with you (a new phone, an app update, decisions on WhatsApp’s side). The serious part isn’t that it happens — it’s finding out hours later, with customers writing into a silent channel.
From today, if your session disconnects you get an immediate alert through the bell, a push notification and email, with the exact instruction to reconnect. And when the session comes back, we tell you that too. This adds to the 24/7 monitoring from 5.6.3: between the two, a downed connection can no longer slip by unnoticed.
🌙 Automatic follow-ups now sleep at night
The assistant picks up conversations that were left hanging — but a “shall we pick up where we left off?” at 3 in the morning scares off more people than it sells to. Follow-ups now respect sensible hours (9:00 to 21:00 by default): if a conversation “comes due” in the middle of the night, the system simply defers it until morning, without losing a single one.
And it’s configurable: in Knowledge you can pick the exact schedule, allow them around the clock or switch them off — every business decides.
✉️ Start the conversation yourself
We’re launching the ”+” button in Conversations: you can now start a new conversation from the dashboard — pick the channel, type the number or the email address, and send the first message.
- WhatsApp (QR): write to any number, freely.
- Email: to any address, with a subject line and your choice of mailbox if you have several.
- WhatsApp Cloud: the platform guides you toward the approved templates (that’s Meta’s rule for starting a conversation).
- Instagram, Messenger and Web Chat don’t allow you to start — there, the customer writes first (platform policy, it applies to everyone) — and the dashboard explains that instead of leaving you guessing.
One important detail: when you start or step into a conversation, the assistant steps aside automatically for 10 minutes. Human in charge, always.
Every 5.6.4 improvement is already live on all plans, with no extra setup. If you don’t have an account yet, start free today.
